![Mount Buko in Chichibu](https://i0.wp.com/thewunderinglab.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/mount-buko-1.jpg?resize=838%2C629&ssl=1)

Mount Buko stands tall at 1,304 meters in altitude and towers over Chichibu city in the western Saitama prefecture.

The mountains contain large amounts of limestone, which is a vital ingredient when it comes to creating cement. Hence, it was once a victim of intensive mining during the industrialization phase in modern Tokyo.

#### 2\. Hitsujiyama Park

Hitsujiyama Park is well known for its Pink Moss Hill, where 9 varieties of pink moss with varying shades litter the field. This moss field spans 17,600 square meters, with over 400,000 plants.

The pink moss hill is expected to be in full bloom from mid April to early May.
